Awareness Skill
The Awareness Skill is a skill based on knowing what is going on around a character without him specifically focusing his attention on an occurrence. A character with the Awareness skill can use his skill to learn things from his peripheral awareness when he is engaged in another action, and has no spare actions to look around. This is also useful when the character is being ambushed, resting or any other generally unobservant situation. Most races have an automatic Inferior ESP trait, so for the most part the Awareness skill is used to counteract this. However a character with the Awareness skill is also a keen observer, and may spot details others miss, or log away seemingly unimportant detail for later retrieval.
