Brugh the Boarcat

A simple huntsman in the hills of Kel Saratose, Brugh the Boarcat is a member of the Ork√Ľn race, part boar, part man with a little plains cat thrown in, he is deadly with his crab-chitin composite bow and his sharp eyes and ears, and nose. Prosperous, or as prosperous as a huntsman can be, Brugh is known in the villages of the western hills as one of the finest hunters in all of Kel Saratose, and the furs and salted meats he brings back regularly to trade in even the leanest winters attest to this.

Description

Brugh is a solidly built example of his kind, but moves with surprising speed and grace. His porcine features are tempered with surprisingly gentle eyes, but his left tusk is broken about half way between where it emerges from the lower lip and where it would have originally terminated. His bristling hair is an umber colour, and the skin visible on his snout is dark. Brugh has broad shoulders and a barrel chest that makes him solid and heavy, and his arms are muscular, but criss-crossed with shallow scars. Brugh generally attires himself with soft leathers that protect against the elements, and in greens and browns to camouflage with the grasses of Kel Saratose's hill lands.

Personality

Brugh is a solitary creature. He lives most of his life alone, away from his own people, not out of any necessity but simply because he has no desire for companionship. Introspective, and quiet, Brugh prefers the simplicity of the hunt to the complexity of social occasions. Still, he is not some enraged hermit, and is more than capable of interacting with others despite it not being his preference. Brugh maintains a gruff, warriors demeanour, but has a good heart, and on more than one occasion he has given meat and furs to lost travellers, or guided them back to civilization.
