Orenthril
Sitting between the vast wildernesses of Dag Molag and Dagvrith, Orenthril was never going to be one of the great powers of post-imperial Iria, and so instead this narrow wooded land has become a catch-all for those displaced by the machinations of the other emerging lands. It is melting pot, ruled over by a tribeless regime who adopt the titles and trappings of their Irian forebears, home to closed Irinos, goblyn tribesmen, and even birdman hunting cohorts. However this disunity has attracted invited the predation of their neighbours, and the eyes of Suldan and the libertine insurgents of Ulvrith have both infiltrated Orenthril with their own agendas for the domain.

Political Geography

this long, narrow nation is home to kelorns, irians and even some more civilized bosk who all bow to the tribeless ruler, who uses the old irian title nasir out of respect for the old culture. Many irians find it distasteful that a tribeless outcast rules true iri on such a significant leg of the pilgrim's road, but in Orenthril there is an effort to begin to mend the division between tribeless and iri, and a tradition of accepting tribeless orphans (or even tribeless families giving up children) to irian homes, where they are tattooed accepted as blood, is beginning to mend ancient schisms. Unfortunately with borders on both Suldan and Ulvrith, and a gentle and ineffectual leader, Orenthril is slowly losing sight of such social growth, in favour of a growing philosophical clash between libertine revolutionaries and ruthless spies.

Notable Individuals

Shal Mohas, Nasir of Orenthril
Shal Mohas rules as Nasir of Orenthril, though he is Nasir in name only. The traditions of that titles have been eschewed, and the tribeless Nasir speaks for himself and took the title from his mother, as she did from her father before her. Still Mohas maintains that it is out of respect for the Irian culture and the heritage of the land he rules that he bears an ancient title. Be his intentions well meaning or manipulative, most of Orenthril's neighbours take offence at so superficial an exploitation of a waning native culture they strive to keep alive.
