Region Lore Skill
A Region Lore Skill is used to access knowledge about the current picture of a specific socio-cultural region, including a geographical knowledge of where place and features are, and who the key individuals in a given region are, as well as any specific cultural abnormalities or behaviours related to the region. Generally speaking Region Lore speaks to the specific information presented in the outlines given in the Atlases. When a character selects a Region Lore skill he assigns a specific region to the lore. He may have as many region lores as he wishes in differing regions. The Region Lore skill is primarily used to determine knowledge of the general geography, and political geography of a given region, but it can also be used to determine how familiar a character is in a given place, how many people he is likely to know, and where the hub of his Fame rating emanates from.

In Allornus, possible regions include: Ahlonia Lore, Iria Lore, Shaeish Kingdoms Lore, Lleweith Kingdoms Lore, Dunsain Kingdoms Lore, Starwood Lore, Ghanish Duchies Lore, Kardesia Lore, Frozen North Lore, Ghan States Lore, Central Flats Lore, Drak Frontier Lore, Kelorn Districts Lore, Southern Soldatry Lore, Nardaan Lore, Maldaakore Lore, Fringe Lore, Inner Sea Lore, Esterfel Lore, Saldania Lore, Dividelands Lore or Farland Lore.

By Settlement: This enhancement speciality applies to knowledge about a single settled area, be it a city, large town, cluster of villages or the like. It is very common, for instance, for a character who has led a fairly sedentary life to know substantially more about his home town than he does about the region it occupies. Similarly a character who has made a special study of a single city will be better able to produce a fact about the city than the realm in which it is situated.

By Facet: Characters might know about a specific facet of life in a region, represented by this enhancement speciality. Common examples might include Political, Economic, Criminal, Natural or Military. The character has made a specific study, or has specific experience of the region in question especially relating to this aspect of its culture and geography.
