Resolve Skill
The Resolve Skill is useful to anyone expected to live in a highly structured environment or who is expected to display a lot of initiative in their pursuits. Rank and file soldiers are expected to keep control of their emotional responses in order to work as a unit, scholars must put aside entertainment and other such pursuits to focus on their work, priests need to devote themselves to their vows to their divh, to prove their devotion. Discipline is predominantly the ability to resist impulses in favour of pursuing a sworn duty or goal. The channeling of magic especially demands well honed willpower to keep the forces from tearing the channeler apart.

Specialities

Centeredness: Sometimes an individual will be exposed to forces that threaten to overwhelm his sense of self, or free will. This enhancement speciality deals with holding onto your sanity, memory, identity and control in the face of things like insanity, mind control, compulsion, possession and of course the toxic forces of channelling.

Concentrating: This counteracting speciality is concerned with ignoring distractions that might otherwise generate a penalty to a given action. A character with concentration can use it to focus on what he is doing even if things around him are demanding his attention.

Ignore Pain: Torture is a sadly real way to solicit obedience is Allornus, and pain from injury can often be as debilitating as the effects of the injury itself. Characters with this counteracting speciality can make use of it to ignore some of the penalties associated with the pain of an injury, that might otherwise physically or emotionally impede them.

Wilfulness: This enhancement speciality is concerned with a character's determination to get their own way. Their ability to be so overwhelmingly rigid and immovable, so unwilling to negotiate, that others are compelled to simply agree with them. It iks often used either to resist some kind of compulsion, or sometimes as a bargaining weapon to secure consensus in times of pressure (though as often as not, pure stubborness just makes other characters walk away).
