River Vence

The River Vence runs east to west through the cloisters, marking the southern boarder of Marratharn with Werndel, lightly settled, shallow and prone to rapids, it flows from the edge of the cloisters and marks the boundary between the cloisters in the north and the Werndel Highlands in the south. Fishermen and the occasional bear gather here in spring for the freshwater salmon, and herders gather water and swim in deeper, slower moving parts.
